Free Delivery for Silver / Gold purchase above $300

For those who who buy silver or gold regularly, who thinks that hauling silver is heavy...

if there is free delivery service, would it be a good thing for you?
The silver or gold would be delivered in original packaging, authenticity can be tested on site.
Cash only paid upon delivery.

business is ACRA registered, founded by a construction firm with 30years of operating, so no funny business. (when I first started a few mths ago, many customers are worried about the authenticity, a very fair concern. Hence I purposely show my own face in my facebook to let people understand that I am aiming a proper business)

I was just wondering if it is a good idea? If it is not, then I better remove this service if no point.

I am aiming for a shop soon, currently based at woodlands workshop, which I feel is not ideal for a showroom, so now looking around for a good premises.

To be honest, free delivery isn't as important as cheaper prices.

I was willing to travel all the way to BWSS in the past just cos they had the best prices around.

hellcannon21 10-06-2015 08:35 PM

i personally had bought from cedric before from gsc. pricing with free delievery. where to find.

GoldScaraB 10-06-2015 09:52 PM

If the customer lives in woodlands for example, free delivery doesnt mean much if the silver price + delievery + time cost is more than the cost of going down for example to BWSS silver price + delievery + time cost. In this case to add on, also to get infected by the clinic.
If the customer works at the central for example, free delivery doesn't mean much when just pop by and purchase PM from BullionStar or GSC, bringing the PM home.
For customer with PM in vault account doesn't require delievery services.
Of course, delievery is a small untapped market for PM when most of the retail buyers are mostly doing self service collection.
If you want an idea that is still not in the market would be free collection of silver when a retailer sells their PM to you. (Something like garang guni)
I can't say for others but I'll give a thumb up. Two thumbs up if the price is also competitive. LOL

Set up show room in the west .
Can do cross border business next time when the rails are up :p

1. Price and conditions of the coins/bar is most important
2. For shops, location is most important.
3. Some may pay slightly more at shops in convenient location, some may travel further to get good price.
4. Free delivery is definitely a plus point, as it deliver good price and save traveling time
5. Can you still maintain the low price after paying for the overhead cost of the shop at a good location? If not then your location have be good, but good location also cost more.

MasterID 11-06-2015 07:29 AM

Delivery is good, can deliver on weekends, PH and even at night. Maybe to Timbuktu also, or those high risk countries.
But then, some people may not like you to know where they are. But they can always request to be delivered to offices' reception.

Best is keep it forever, maybe change it to FREE postal delivery if by hand is too costly.

You made a good valid point. There are some who are reluctant to provide address. I will do my best to customise and meet them.
For the postal delivery, I personally had bad experience with SingPost. i think I suay.. so i wont use postal services. :p

Yeah. unfortunately singapore rental is expensive. I am now pondering a place in woodland or a central location... and yes, a central location costs more... =)
Right now free delivery is because my woodlands collection is too far from most people, hence I use delivery to reach out to the people.

If have showroom , it is best to have a wide range of numismatic coins as these are the one that interest the public to walk in and see .

Meanwhile free delivery service is GOOOODDDD.

daniel.yrh 12-06-2015 12:36 PM

just my personal opinion. For me I prefer to deal face2face on COD basis because I enjoy talking and sharing experience with dealers and buyers. Its the comfort feel, the assurance and confidence shared between our small group of precious metal investors/hoggers. Just like car maintenance, I prefer sending my car to ADs for servicing and repairs as I enjoyed being treated as valued customers (no we are not talking about the pretty sales assistant and free coffee).

For numismatic coins I have my fair share of experience sending multiple coins back to sellers/mint for returns and exchange due to defects and all. But for bullion I guess I could just close one eye and live with any spots and blemishes. I appreciate free delivery service but I still prefer dropping by a physical shop or meeting the seller directly.

anlok 12-06-2015 01:10 PM

COD upon delivery is good! But I won't go for pay then deliver.

Yup i get what u mean, this is what drives me to find a retail shop. Sometimes during delivery, the clients would chitchat with me for quite a long time, even though we can be standing in the void deck or some area, and its great to share our collections and chat abt the beautiful coins.
recently sold a few kg of bullions to this customers who dont stack, but actually use the silver for his work.
in the end, spend a loooong time learning abt his hobby.
it would be good if i can have a shop so that there is coffee and seats, but for now.. void deck for me liao :o

you are not alone :p almost all my customers only pay cash upon delivery. it is an honour system. this one i must also thank mobile banking. Some delivery is a little bit more, so carrying cash is not a good idea (some customers prefer me to deliver to their office) so they use mobile banking on the spot to transfer me after checking and receiving their bars.
thanks for technology.

hahhahaa. my margin is so low, i think the 1kg silver prize will set me back this year to negative territory.

1kg gold... ahem. die lah!

BTW i received a few PMs. so i better clarify. FREE DELIVERY means i deliver personally to the client, face to face.
NOT postal service.

http://goldsilvercity.com.sg/faqs/ho...-the-products/
For all purchases above $300, there is a free delivery service.

I will personally deliver the products that you ordered, to your doorstep (you choose the location)
It would NOT be via postal service, I will do face-to-face delivery and payment can be Cash on Delivery.

It would be via a normal, unmarked SUV, that is inconspicuous. The product would be wrapped in paper, or in plastic bags. If you live in condominiums, I would inform the guards that I am delivering food / chocolate or toys / books.
If you need special arrangements, such as me passing the goods to your domestic helper instead, do let me know, i would arrange for you.

Silverdust 13-06-2015 11:35 AM

Look like free delivery is a good service but price must be very competitive as most buyers would not want to overpay for coins for the free service .

btw, i wonder is the "Gold Club Asia" in facebook an official facebook page of this GoldClubAsia?

Your website stated accept Visa/Master but upon checkout, there is no such option.

Just to confirm, you will be giving official receipt??

Yes, would you be able to whatsapp or call me for the credit card payment issues?
I am contactable via this forum, via whatsapp, via my facebook page www.facebook.com/goldsilvercitysg , or via phone call, or via my site www.goldsilvercity.com.sg

I prefer customers not to use visa/ mastercard as the charge of 3% is quite expensive. Goes to the bank and not to the client's benefit.
I can take cash on delivery (or via internet mobile banking when I deliver), can save money on client's side.
I usually issue a generic receipt, and is also able to produce a nice clean one with company letterhead.

Will PM you =)
