You are 100% correct, time is really our friend when comes to long long long term investment. So what I do now is don't open the spreadsheet daily, but when I do, i just squeeze my ball.

my fiancee also recently keep nagging me on my PM purchases... she bought a 1oz gold coin when she saw my stash and now hers is underwater at 6% loss. When gold was at $1420 last month I asked her to sell and take profit but she wanted to hold on for higher price.
