Possible spike on the horizon?

One of my contacts with one of the largest European precious metals brokers told me this morning that they could not find any silver. All the refiners they contacted could not take their orders and could not give any delay. “Call us next next month”, they said. This is the first time that such an event has occurred.
On Wednesday, he attempted to source a ton of silver (32,000 oz), from the three main Swiss refiners. Two of them refused to take the order entirely, and the third refiner stated delivery would take 2 weeks.
The refiners claimed they had been very busy during the last month trying to fulfill an “enormous” Chinese order.

ROFL. Love these "supply shortage" stories.

If cannot source, go buy from the dealers lah.

If Ernest start running out of silver, that's the sign of a supply shortage.

China can buy direct from the miners and refine it themselves

why need to pay the dealers?

or just buy the mines and dig the ore themselves

Maybe it's a REALLY big order

And their own refineries are already at max capacity.

The mind has been 'conditioned' to see lower low, and spot need to break the previous low of 1275 or 1180 before the mind gets excited again.

Many probably bought around this price as it keep swinging around 1321.

When spot cannot make up its mind, I turn to semi-numis and numismatics.

Much more fun to collect.

They did, news not only from media, but a direct friend of mine who have filthy rich china friend....

The china people (rich one) are buying mines like us buying cars....and of course they will mine other people's mine from other country, in case the world goes kaput and they have no way to transport these back.

Back in china, the way china people treat gold and silver is like us treating them like nike shoe, lots of them on the counter, looking cheap, yet sell by the grams and workmanship, and flying out of the shop VERY FAST!!! every trip I go, the design of those silver are totally different. If only we have such silver store in singapore...

Err, to make this post relevant to this thread...just want to add, gold price is likely to go below USD 1,300 just to weed out speculators again...and like Master ID said, will test the lower region since it's so near....why not everybody sell and make it hit the mark, then push them back up....FUN!
