Default Misleading Message Titles and Bad Dealing behaviors

Saw a few misleading titles on price offers.

Bearing in mind this is not paid TV advert or internet spams. The forum is set up more for like minded guys to exchange ideas and figure out how to help each other in collection of PM.

We tolerate dealers as they help the newbies in getting coins but please don't overdo it with misleading message titles.

Others feel free to flag out such posts.

Newbies, if you are dealing with anyone here, remember the following few points:

1. None of the traders/dealers/sellers/buyers here are related to the forum/club. Do it at your own risk.

2. Do sufficient due diligence. Check prices of products online/elsewhere/from seniors before agreeing.

3. If you bumped into any unethical processes/dealers, e.g. offer to deal but last minute back off; let the admin/moderators know even if you are too shy to leave a bad rating.

It is natural for sellers to want highest price, buyers to want lowest price.
Some sellers might have taken in their stock at higher levels and will not bulge in their price levels. Be understanding.

If you have obviously been creamed off, just be smart and not to go back and be buttered again.

Do terms like (or terms to the effect of) "special offer", "low price", "big discounts", "time limited offer", "cheap" constitute to ad-like message titles? What other terms? "Laylong sales"? LOL.

Maybe can specify some forbidden terms for everyone to abide by.

I think [cheap] and [good offers] are fine.
Overdoing it and nobody believes..

But don't quote a price on the title then add a condition inside.
If you tell all that its the [best price in town] then be ready to stand by it and maybe offer a full refund if someone else is selling cheaper.

Keep it simple.

Just list your price. Let members decide if your price is the best or low enough.
If your price is really good, no need to SHOUT. People will know and people will help you spread the words.

Don't try tricks on unsuspecting members.

No good for the overall reputation and membership of GCA if newbies caught offguard.

Keep it simple okay?

TS, I understand what you are trying to say and yes, I do find some of the titles quite misleading. Some of the titles really put me up on cloud 9 but the details are actually quite the opposite.

The feeling is like picking up a crumpled fifty dollar note on the floor but to realise that the word specimen is printed on it.

But that is what advertisement is about. To capture the viewers' attention...

Unless admin feels that all titles should somehow be moderated... I don't think we can do anything. Just don't put too much hope when you see those titles. There is no such thing as free lunch...

simple.. if we (moderators) don't like the titles, we change/delete the thread.

if repeated offense.. we just ban the person 8-)

The intention was not to mislead anyone.

Have changed the thread title to make the offer "clear" in title itself

Don't get jealous when see other member selling it cheaper.
Quickly post similar item at much lower; diverting traffic.

But when potential buyers contact seller, seller says all SOLD.
Purpose is just to show the other seller that he can't survive and he should go away, stop selling his wares on this forum.

And also don't bargain and dig hard to find out the other person's bottom line and then tell him you know his supplier and actual cost. You can tell the supplier to stop supplying him and that you can sell cheaper than him.

Competition is healthy for the market.

Sell competitively, not driving other sellers out in this manner.

Alamak . . . . . still got such things . . . . really bei tah-han . . .
Mar-chi . . . saya tak-bu-lek tah-han . . . .
