Wise words but so easily forgotten and ignored I dare say.

It is good that you have clearly identified yourself as a collector. That itself helps in deciding what to invest in.

I think I'm 60/40. I wished it was easier to decide that whether I am a collector or stacker.

Then there is the other school that says acquiring PM is NOT investing but rather saving. On that I am 50/50. If i don't plonk $350 on that 10oz PM bar, the cash would probably be spent on food, gadgets or apparel that later on I regret buying. At least with that PM bar, its real asset (saving) acquired.

Ok... I think I'm getting off topic.
Thanks for reminding => do not bite more than you can chew

Voted for no.1 (When I hit my target holding)

Keeping an X months of monthly salary as emergency fund.

From the X months, break down into cash, physical silver, physical gold and 2-3 type of frequent use foreign currency.

I have no strategy at all...just buy as I please.
But I think one should buy consistently regardless of price, and consider liquidation when the market goes into a frenzy for precious metals

I agree with buy consistently regardless of price.
This takes away speculations and we get our ounces consistently.
But, it is also much easier said than done.
In the end, I buy as I please.. hahaha!!!

I buy when I feel the price is good... Once the price is good, buy in without hesitation...
