On their iOS app (SICF 2014), it only asked for Name, Email, Mobile, Country, Address. And as a prick myself I only put my nickname and fake information on the rest of the fields.

Just saw on news some sing-pass accounts might be compromised .
When the parts of the PDPA concerning data protection goes into effect, we will be able to sue whoever leaked our information.

its a fair exchange.

entrants are filling information on their forms, not ours.

just like facebook, everything we uploaded, is own by facebook, not us-ours anymore.

It was not a fair exchange, because the participants were not told what the company would do with the information.

The company registered the participants using their IT system but there was no disclosure as to the usage of the captured information, nor was there a legal notice to say that we consent to whatever use it was intended.

This is very unlike a registration form format used in other shows, where there's legal language to protect the organisers and for the participants to 'consent' to the use of their information.

just to be safe, we upload the whole lot of big T from HDD on to cloud.

one day when our system is down, we can make use of this.

but when our sector of information are in the open cloud.

mati liau lah. all the personal information storage gone with the cloud.

better to smoke your HDD out or make a magnet out of this.

anyway, who still has a paid email?

unless it is FREE then all are free to spin and visible transparent open cloud, every one who knows where it is stored are privy to that openness.

NSA all your storage, so that one day it can and will be used against you.
spin the storage and we have all of it. Its a information war out there up in the cloud.

important information usually conveniently lost and someone who pick it up can steal identities.

the usual culprit, to piece the 4 or 5 of the matrix will get the information of an identity. and the thief can get many things, as proof and confirmations are tied together and can be used.

got lost in the information age, and welcome to the cloud up here

its not we want to let people get our details and misused it. it is dangerous to let irresponsible people have all access to us, they even know us more that we know ourselves.

wow recently our eBay had it, now come to our sing pass

I have more than 50 passwords, now must change 50 of them.
next time must have 500 password to lock all my password. then lock them with the 3 keys.
