I tried Silber Corner from Germany : http://www.silber-corner.de/

It has an admin charge of additional 2.2% on top of the item and shipping costs.

The shipping they charged was 43 Euros for about 4 oz of items using DHL Weltpaket ( Its not Express)

However it took quite long, almost 4 weeks to be delivered. At one point when you are tracking (it was "stranded" for almost 10 days at Saulheim Postal Centre before it starts moving). It also took about one week before the items are shipped out from SilberCorner.

There are no other shipping options as SilberCorner would want to cut down on shipping costs by using DHL Weltpaket.

But overall their customer service was responsive and their packaging was very discreet.

Majority of the discussion in the forums is focused on which dealers have the best deals for buyers/collectors to purchase their PM from.

What about the buy-backs?

Aside from the fellow buyers/collectors and UOB, any experience to share with regard to selling the PM back to the dealers, be it from where the PM was bought or to other dealers?

Anything to take into consideration for newbies like myself?

if u plan on selling back to the distributor, i think better off just trading paper silver. not really that meaningful with the large bid offer spread. better off if you use silver futures to hedge your stock and sell slowly on the forum at the offer price

It's not so much that I plan to sell to the distributor. But from reading the forum, I see the emphasis on the buying process. But what's the exit strategy? Buy, hold and pass to the children to sell in the next generation? I see very few discussions on sales.

I suspect those who bought a few years ago are sitting on paper losses, hence not looking at selling. Yes, I'm sure most will say they buy to collect, not to make quick profits. That's fine. But are there any cases of sellers who sold at the recent high and made some profits? Do you sell to the dealers directly or to fellow collectors/investors?

That was the experience that I was asking about.

With PM spot price dropping over the past few days, anyone willing to share their exit strategy?

Or is it really just a simple buy and hold?
