statistics is how one interprets.

benny u can always use this and tell the potential buyer :
" see GCA site survey showed that huge MAJORITY of singapore silver and gold buyers are determined to buy a kook set" and then
"I am sure this will push Kook set to above 1650 and beyond very quickly."

we can then have another round of mis-selling argument and fight. haha..

Technically based on the supposed result that more than 50% of members in GCA (of 1200 members, as pika quoted) are determined to have 1 set of kooks, then we have a demand of 600 sets in singapore which supposedly cannot be supplied..

but we shld note that base on this statistics we also know that around 7% of 1200 people = 80 pax each has more than 10 full sets of kooks... i.e. 800 sets of kooks available in this small sg market alone..

the power of statistics.

We got like 6 million people on Singapore ... Just try to convert 10% to PM stackers . More people coming ok ....
Then convert another 10% out of this 10 % to kook collectors ..

Whahahahha....

Meanwhile sell till face green green loh .

Is this poll a "good to know" / "for fun" kind of a poll...or is it going to be used as a gauge for kook set pricing?

Anyway I love kooks but cannot be bothered to find out how many ppl are interested in kooks or how many sets they have....

there are 5 potential buyers... see who will move in for the bids

maybe just maybe, some one is looking for the price of a S1 PM lunar set

but kooks got 24 ounces elsewhere lunar only has 12 ounces of silver.

Good statistics depend on several conditions. Is the sampling randomised? Is the sample size large enough to provide a powerful estimate? Is it normally distributed? Etc. I think this survey makes good awareness and marketing rather than a real representation of ownership interest IMO. No offense. I like kooks too and also own them.

this poll was started to get a feel of the interest and quantity of kook sets in the SG scene.
lets not get carried away with statistical manipulations. altjo they seem fairly entertaining.
whether this poll means something depends on the number of participants.
so to the guys who have not voted...its helpful if u do.

The sampling data in actual fact is not large enough to derive on that conclusion.

The assumption is inadequate as we are assuming that all the members here are coin collectors. Some members might be in the forum for any other purposes except coin collecting. So most probably the number is much lower.

Yes, interpretations from statistics vary and the power from statistics is most frequently misused. Thus without adequate assumptions and well-funished information, it is best to leave these numbers as it is.

I don't disagree. This is more like describing the process of declaring and proclaiming that a 'majority of forumer' likes kook. Which has not alot of meaning in the first place.
