UOB PJ has 100gm bars
UOB KL has 1/4 oz nuggets and maples. They even have kilobars if you're so inclined. But will only sell kilobars after a search is performed on you. They also want to know your reason for buying. However, the premiums are very very low. You can get a kilobar now for about RM80k+
I call them up, I was told that they don;t buy back the kilo bar. and neither can you sell it to UOB SG. so, if you can dispose it by all means buy it. Otherwise, you stuck with a big bars.

Yupe, I don;t think you can resell back to UOB SG. since tax issue involved, big companies don't want to do the wrong thing. so they 'll follow the rules exactly.

Gold brought for later sales/disposal
What I think for investor, whether local or foreigner who frequently travel to M;sia, will buy from Malaysia and keep in the same bank safe deposit. If they 1 2 sell, they will sell back to UOB Malaysia.

gold brought to be kept for long duration > 3 yrs.
Buy in locally, keep locally.

People with enough moolah for kilobars always know how to dispose of it.
It's not for the average investor who need a 'buy back' guarantee.

i know if singaporean are able to buy at uob malaysia and bring over?
Yeah, If you're from the city of lion please also limit your purchase to 5 ounce of gold coins. Malaysia Gold market is small, any big purchase from foreigner with thick wallet can literally wipe out all of our stock of precious gold coins, leaving Amadan and myself empty hand.

My goodness, Why am i getting so Kiasu now ? Hehhahhaheh

I have 2 questions:

1. does uob KL buy coins that are not bought from them?

2. are there any M'sia GCA members that are gold buyers?
